Two Minute Meeting (not literally)

I know I've just discussed our idea yesterday, but we think that we need to clean it up a little and tweak the idea a little, so we've got a group meeting arranged for next Monday. We'll let you know about any changes to the plan or if we decide to stick with it.
(I think meetings are becoming our new thing)

2 minute opening idea

In my previous vlog I spoke about our idea for our 2 minute opening, but it was a bit rambled and I was making no sense at all. So, I've decided to write our idea instead!

It starts with a young girl on a swing in a park holding a teddy bear, in the past. She swings for about 15 seconds, then she stands and walks towards the forest. As she walks into the forest she drops her bear and the camera pans to the sky. The audience then hears a shrill scream/cry and then the clouds in the sky move and the sky changes in a time lapse. The camera then pans back to the forest in present day, and we see a girl and her dog walk into the same area that the young girl had walked into. The screen then fades to black.

We've planned on not using any dialogue at all, so we can focus more on camera angles and other sounds. We're also hoping that the lack of dialogue makes the film extremely eerie and creeps our audience out.

We're hoping to use Holly's niece Keeley as the young girl:

Keeley is perfect for the part, as she's old enough to take it seriously, yet still young enough to make her part creepy. She's also very pretty, which is how we envisioned the young girl.

In this vlog I ramble on about our pitch and a 'Gogglebox' task!

Group vlog

In this vlog Holly, Kelly and I talk about the prelim and questionnaire task.

Questionnaire video

Below is the questionnaire I carried out with Holly and Kelly.
The three questions asked are:

  1. What is your favourite movie genre?
  2. What is your least favourite movie genre?
  3. Why do you think the first two minutes of a movie is important?

Vlog update

In this vlog I mainly talk about our research task and our recent practise exam question, but the thumbnail is horrendous and I can't change it, so I've put it as unlisted. (Basically, you can only find it if you have the link or on here.)

So, tomorrow we've got a little meeting going on to discuss the preliminary task, because we don't really know what we're going to do yet regarding roles and content. We'll let you know how it went soon in a vlog!
